Douglas Axmen Soccer Club (DASC) is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization promoting youth participation in the game of soccer while teaching physical activity and interpersonal skills.
DASC is fully operated by volunteers from the local community who are interested bringing the game of soccer to the youth of Douglas, Massachusetts. We encourage you to dedicate a few hours a week to help make a difference for the youth of Douglas, MA.
DASC is affiliated with Midland Area Youth Soccer (MAYS) and MA Youth Soccer Association (MYSA).
Douglas Axmen Soccer Club Mission Statement:
To provide a soccer organization to the youth of Douglas, Massachusetts promoting participation in the game of soccer and teaching the principles of soccer excellence, sportsmanship, athletic skills, team spirit, character and social interaction. The ideals of enjoyment, fair play, fun, safety, integrity and honesty will be emphasized through age- and ability-appropriate competition and soccer educational opportunities to enable every member, albeit a player, coach, or referee, of DASC to achieve their personal goals in their selected recreation.
Douglas Axmen Soccer includes soccer programs for a variety of age groups:
In Town (non-travel):
U4 (Grade Pre-k 3)
U6 (Grades Pre-k 4 & Kindergarten)
U8 (Grades 1 & 2)
U10 (Grades 3 & 4)
U12 (Grades 5 & 6)
U14 (Grades 7 & 8)
DASC uses a grade-based system when determining league eligibility. September 1st is the cutoff date for determining player eligibility to a league which is aligned to the Douglas school system grade selection. This method allows players to be closer in age and have the opportunity to play with their peers.
To be eligible to play in U4 in the fall 2017 / spring 2018 season, the player must have a date of birth on or before 9/1/2014.
Douglas Axmen Soccer Club is affiliated with and follows the Midland Area Youth Soccer (MAYS) and MA Youth Soccer (MYSA) seasons.
All leagues play two times a year:
Spring Season: Season begins in April, ends in June
Fall Season: Season begins in August, ends in November
Travel: (U10, U12, U14) Leagues
Games are played weekly on Saturdays, practices during the week (days and times at the discretion of the coach)
In Town: (U4, U6) Leagues
Games are played weekly on Sundays, one practice during the week (day and time at the discretion of the coach)
In Town: (U8) League
Games are played weekly on Saturdays, one practice during the week (day and time at the discretion of the coach)
Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC):
A season ending tournament that takes place after the Spring season available to qualifying U12 and U14 travel teams. This tournament is typically held over one weekend in June.
Open registration for the Spring season runs from November through January (Travel) or March (In Town)
Open registration for the Fall season runs from May through June (Travel) or July (In Town)
